When I was young, I stole my Dad's Panasonic camcorder (every filmmakers origin story) and wandered around my childhood home finding stories to tell. I was a music video director, a playwright, a vocalist, an actress. I spent the majority of my time designing sets and clothing, positioning my toys and giving them a backstory, and creating within the four walls of my bedroom. That's where my passion for performance in both animation and live action began.
I also studied poetry for a long time. With my love of prose, my upbringing as a high level athlete and my background in animation, my style has evolved into a combination of intimate performance and nuanced timing that focuses on a unique sense of rhythm to drive the feeling of the story.
My visual identity is driven by a finite control of movement, seeking harmony in chaos.
Having been a lead motion designer since 2019, my skill level spans across 3D design and animation, 2D motion graphics, traditional hand drawn and stop motion.
I like to weave all of these elements into my work as my tools to accomplish the feeling of a project. I treat animation skills a lot like a tool belt. They are just the medium to achieve what my hands can already do.
I began drawing when I was 4 years old. I realized I could replicate anything I saw - whether that was the analog clock on the classroom wall, the tulip on my walk home or even a portrait of my teacher's face. I could copy it to precision.
Fast forward to now and illustration is what compelled me into creativity. I've also love realism and impressionism, and my style falls into a modern blend of both.
